Nar Phu Valley Trek with Annapurna Circuit , an adventure that takes you to wonderful and scenic high destinations above beautiful Manang valley. And awesome mountain scenery with amazing ancient local culture and old traditions of Buddhism.
However, our adventure leads to traverse two main passes over Kang-la and Thorang-la both above 5,322 m and 5,416 m high facing an outmost panorama of surrounding high peaks.
Nar Phu with Annapurna Circuit trek leads to join back at Annapurna’s main route near Manang village. And heading high Thorang-la to reach at Kaligandaki River valley past holy Muktinath and at Jomsom for the scenic flight to beautiful Pokhara.
The reason for this marvelous Nar Phu with Semi Annapurna Circuit trekking that takes you to a once-forbidden country. Which was restricted to the outside world been opened for the last three decades, where you can observe its great treasures of the beautiful scenery.
Besides the great views, it is also the land where Himalayan Thar and elusive Snow-Leopard habitats in the pristine wilderness on less-visited areas by trekkers and adventure.
Our hiking begins a short drive and then ending with a short flight to reach at scenic Pokhara from Jomsom town. The adventure of a lifetime experience on Nar-Phu with Semi Annapurna Circuit Trekking.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu with transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour around places of interest.
Day 03: Drive to Syange 1,290 m via Besisar 800 m – 06 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m – 06 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Kotto 2,560 m near Chame 2,670 m – 05 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Dharma-Sala 3,230 m – 05 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Kyang 3, 020 m – 05 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Phu village 4,080 m – 06 hrs.
Day 09: Rest day in Phu village for acclimatization and sidewalk.
Day 10: Trek to Nar Phedi 3, 545 m – 06 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to Nar-Gaon 4,206 m – 06 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Kang La Base Camp 4,530 m – 05 hrs.
Day 13: Cross Kang-La Pass 5, 322 m trek to Ngawal 3,650 m – 07 hrs.
Day 14: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.
Day 15: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m – 04 hrs.
Day 16: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m – 04 hrs.
Day 17: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m – 06 hrs.
Day 18: Drive to Jomsom 2,715 end of the walk – 02 hrs.
Day 19: Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel nearby Phewa Lake.
Day 20: Drive or fly to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 21: Final departure from Kathmandu homeward bound.
Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu with transfer to hotel.
On arrival at Kathmandu international airport get transferred to hotels after received by our guides and staff, at hotel check in and join in for group briefing regarding treks and other useful information, with welcome dinner.
Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour around places of interest.
Morning depart from the hotel where our city guide will show you around places of interest within Kathmandu, tour of world heritage sites and back to hotel preparation for Nar-Phu and Semi Annapurna Circuit Trekking.
Day 03: Drive to Syange 1,290 m via Besisar 800 m - 06 hrs.
Morning an interesting overland drive leads you beyond Kathmandu valley towards low warmer areas with views of snow-capped mountains, where ride continues on busy main highway of Nepal heading towards Nepal Mid-West at Lamjung area in Besisar town.
From here drive continues on past farm villages as drive ends at nice Syange village for overnight stop.
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m - 06 hrs.
From Syange walk uphill to reach at Jagat, on the first day walk and then on winding path to Chamje, following high above Marysangdi River and into forested area with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu range, walk continues reaching at Tal village located on a nice valley, after Tal another 2 hours walk to Dharapani village for overnight stop.
Dharapani a nice village with Buddhist culture, situated on the junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking trail.
Day 05: Trek to Kotto 2,560 m near Chame 2,670 m - 05 hrs.
Second day walk leads into cool rhododendron and pine forest past villages of Bagarchap and Danque, then to Timang village from here onwards into more Buddhist area, with super view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft, from this village few hours trek leads to Kotto for overnight stop near a large town of Chame headquarter of Manang district.
Day 06: Trek to Dharma-Sala 3,230 m - 05 hours.
Trek leads to narrow valley within forest of pines and rhododendron trees, then reaching nice pasture fields with huts and sheds of Yak herders and in the gorge formed by Pisang Peak and Kang-guru Himal lower basin, walk continues following Nar-Phu River upstream to reach at Dharmashala for overnight stop.
Day 07: Trek to Kyang 3, 020 m - 05 hours.
Morning walks north towards Phu village within isolated area of dry and arid landscapes, walk continues to Kyang for overnight stop after an interesting day, Kyang with dozen houses of Tibetan culture.
Day 08: Trek to Phu village 4,080 m - 06 hours.
Today reach at Phu village as morning walk leads to Phu River following for some time and then climb to reach a gorge for few hours then reaching a wide glacial valley with pasture lands at Phu village of strong Tibetan influence culture, traditions and religion.
Day 09: Rest day in Phu village for acclimatization and side walk.
Rest day at Phu for acclimatization, explore impressive village and Tashilkhang with Samdu Choling Monasteries and Kyauchyu waterfalls, Phu Village
Day 10: Trek to Nar Phedi 3, 545 m - 06 hrs.
From Phu village walk back on the same trail for few hours then descend to a narrow gorge at Phu khola, from here a slow climb to reach at Yughat small village with chhorten a Buddhist shrines, then reaching a flat field at Nar Phedi for overnight stop.
Day 11: Trek to Nar-Gaon 4,206 m - 06 hrs.
Morning walk leads to Phu Khola for few hours to reach a suspension bridge over Phu Khola, crossing the bridge with steep climb for few hours reaching a flat area then walk to Nar village for overnight.
Day 12: Trek to Kang La Base Camp 4,530 m - 05 hrs.
After Nar-Gaon walk to remote areas an interesting walk for few hours and then taking short ups and downs in some rocky and arid path, past cattle herders shelters heading further west following Temdenzon khola with views of snow peaks and then reaching at Kang la pass base for overnight camp at 4,530 meters altitude.
Day 13: Cross Kang-La Pass 5, 322 m trek to Ngawal 3,650 m - 07 hrs.
Starting early morning cross Kang-la at 5,322 m, climb higher on a steep slope for few hours with stunning views of Pisang Peak with Chulu Far East Peak, and then reaching on top with wonderful views of Annapurna mountain range, Chulu Peaks, Lamjung Himal and adjoining peaks.
Walk downhill to Ngawal via Julu village close to Manang village to reach back at main route of Annapurna circuit trail.
Day 14: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m - 05 hrs.
After Nar and Phu crossing Kangla pass that separates from Manang high valley, morning walk downhill to Humde village, continue to Braga village and visit its old monastery with panorama of snow capped mountains.
After a wonderful time in the monastery, an hour walk leads to main Manang village for overnight.
Day 15: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m - 04 hours.
After Manang, walk towards Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude walk with views of mountains, crossing small streams to reach at Yak Kharka, a small settlement with incredible views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.
Day 16: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m - 04 hrs.
Morning walk leads closer to Thorang-la as the walk progress crossing a bridge and then a climb along the Jarjung River, then leading at Thorung Phedi for short rest and then climb the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.
Day 17: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m - 07 hrs.
Start early morning walk on this day to cross over Thorang-la with steep haul to reach at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft on top of Thorang-la festooned with Buddhist prayer flags.
Highest point of the adventure certainly requires high spirit and strong mind to reach this high point.
The pass rewards breathtaking panorama of dramatic landscapes, snowcapped peaks, from here a long descend to Muktinath at the height of above 3,800 m, a holy spot for both Hindu and Buddhist followers where word Muktinath means
‘a place for Nirvana or Liberation’.
Day 18: Drive to Jomsom 2,715 end of the walk - 02 hrs.
After Muktinath end of the walks where scenic drives leads you downhill with big drop of 1,200m to Kaligandaki river valley, as ride leads at Kaligandaki river valley, from here heading to Jomsom for overnight stop, a headquarter town of Mustang area with small airstrip above Kaligandaki River.
Day 19: Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel nearby Phewa Lake.
Early morning after breakfast where sweeping 22 minutes scenic flight takes you to Pokhara with grand views of peaks, on reaching Pokhara airport transfer to respective hotels by the lake Phewa.
Afternoon free to enjoy the views of Annapurna Himalaya and beautiful Phewa Lake, or join for tour around Pokhara with Devi’s fall (a massive cascading waterfalls), Guptswor Cave, Vindhyabashini temple and white Seti River and its deep gorge, rest of the day enjoy walk along the Phewa Lake or take a boat ride around the lake.
Day 20: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs.
Morning drive back to Kathmandu after a wonderful trip in the high mountains of Manang and Mustang area, on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure for relaxation and shopping.

Day 21: Final departure from Kathmandu homeward bound.
Last day in the land of Himalayan Wonders, as per your international flight time depart from the hotel for airport for your international flight back to home countries or other respective destinations.
