Day 01:  Drive from Kathmandu to Kyirung 2,890 m overnight in the local lodge – 07 hrs journey.

Day 02:  Rest Day in Kyirung for acclimatization and local hike.
Day 03: Drive to Saga 4,450 m- 232 km – 05 hrs.
Day 04: Drive to Manasarovar 4,600 m via Paryang – 507 km -07 hrs.
Day 05: Drive to Darchen 4,620 m-40 km – 02 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Diraphuk 4,630 m – 05 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Zutul-Puk 4,730 m via Dorma-la pass (18 km)-6 hrs.

Tour Details Itinerary:


Day 01:  Drive from Kathmandu to Kyirung 2,890 m overnight in local lodge - 07 hrs journey.

Morning an exciting drive on Kathmandu to Dhunche-Syabrubesi highway, heading towards Himalayan foothills, heading past Trisuli Bazaar a warm sub-tropical area, journey continues to reach cooler hill on long winding road past farm villages and town to Dhunche at 1,950m high. Dhunche headquarter and main town of Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal, after Dhunche drive leads down to reach Syabrubesi village the home of Tamang tribe people with views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal. From Syabrubesi drive takes you on newly built road that links Nepal and Tibet at Rasuwagadhi (1m800m / 15 km / 1 hr min from Syabrubesi), on
reaching the border, received by our Tibetan guide and drivers, after completing immigration and custom formalities on both frontier of Nepal / Tibet at Rasuwagadhi. Where short drive continues into Kyirong for first overnight stop in Tibet accommodation at local guest-house, at Kyirong time to relax and enjoy views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal that borders Nepal and Tibet.


Day 02:  Rest Day in Kyirung for acclimatization and local hike. At Kyirong within Tibet for acclimatization and familiarization within Tibetan country take short walks around villages and witness interesting Buddhist culture and custom of Tibetans with views of Ganesh and Langtang North Face.


Day 03: Drive to Saga 4,450 m- 232 km - 05 hrs.
Morning after breakfast continue journey on wide Tibetan plateau crossing over few high passes facing views of mountain range, as drive leads with
short stops around villages within the country of sheep’s and yak grazing fields. Journey leads towards remote corners of Tibet past many farm villages to reach a bridge over Brahmaputra River in Tibet known as Yalung Tsangpo which flows from the very source of Mt. Kailash. Driving on bridge to enter at Saga which is a moderate size town having nice lodge, hotels and restaurants, on arrival check into the best available
hotels or guest houses.
Day 04: Drive to Manasrover 4,600 m via Paryang - 507 km -07 hrs.
Morning drive leads past Saga town within complete wilderness, after hours’ drive where road winds to a climb over pass about 4,900 m high and then down-hill to a long stretch flat area, on clear day great views of snow
capped peaks towards North West that borders Nepal, after few hours of scenic drive reaching into a windswept village at Paryang. Drive continues towards Kailash area with great Barkha valley within much barren landscapes, as journey leads past many small farm villages and nomads camps with large Tibetan tents serving as teahouses and restaurants.
Drive continues with climb up towards Mayam-la pass at 5,050 m high, and then with long descends to reach a near level track and then on gradual road of few hours with views of Lake Manasrover then drive heads towards western side of the lake at Chu-Gompa for overnight stop nearby Manasrover Lake with views of Mt. Kailash.
Day 05: Drive to Darchen 4,620 m-40 km - 02 hrs.
Morning free at holy Lake Manasrover located in Western Tibet between Mt. Kailash 6,714 meters and Gurla Mandhata Mountain Range stands at
7,694 m. For Hindu Lake Manasrover floats beneath the shadow of holy Mt. Kailash as this lake forms the mind of God, as the name Manas. Here interested pilgrims can perform puja rites with dips in this sacred lake
within shallow area by the shore. In Hindu, Buddhist and Jain religion, the holiest lake of Asia; best time for
tour around Lake Manasrover in late autumn and early spring when streams and rivers are at low level.
With time here afternoon short drive to the main town of Kailash at Darchen a place with many shops-stores and lodges with Guest-House, an interesting market to visit around and observe Tibetan traditional life and
culture, during auspicious time this place flooded with Tibetan and Indian pilgrims for Kora, parikrama or holy circuit walks.
Day 06: Trek to Diraphuk 4,630 m - 05 hrs.
After Darchen with time morning starts with short drive to Barkha valley beyond Darchen to reach at holy spot Tarboche, a sacred place with excellent views of Mt. Kailash West Face. From here holy walk begins heading north on a wide terrain towards Shershong, then with gradual climb of nice walk reaching to our overnight
stop at Dhiraphuk Gompa, with magnificent views of holy Mt. Kailash North Face. Here depending upon the season with mass number of pilgrim’s staying

Day 07: Trek to Zutul-Puk 4,730 m via Dorma-la pass (18 km)-6 hrs.
From Dhiraphuk morning walk continues heads uphill onto moraine with more than two hours of steep climb to reach top of Dormo-la pass at above 5,630m /18,525ft. A holy spot closest views of Mt. Kailash North Face and the highest point of this adventurous pilgrimage, a big boulder represent goddess Dolma or Dromo (Tara) festooned with thousands of prayer flags and offering by both Hindu’s and Buddhist pilgrims. This holy spot a physical and spiritual high point on pilgrimage, parikrama or Kora, after a nice break here walk leads to a long descend towards Lamchu wide valley a flat area, on reaching at the bottom of Dormo -la pass, a pleasant walk reaches you at a small Zutul-Puk Gompa for overnight stop, either in lodge or in tented camp. Zutul means cave in Tibetan, this place named after a holy cave in which poet, and saint Milereppa meditate in early 11 th century, his footprints can be seen on the cave roof top.


Day 08: Walk near Darchen to end Parikrama and drive to Saga-07 hrs.
Today last day of holy parikrama and circuit or Kora in Tibetan, morning walk leads on nice gradual path for few hours on winding trail, to reach narrow valley into a river gorge of great Karnali River. From here short walk leads to near Darchen, and then our walk ends for a drive just an hour before Darchen, after completing holy trek drive towards near Mayum-la pass base and continue to reach at Saga town for overnight
stop.
Day 09: Drive back to Kyirung 232 k m -05 hrs.
After an exciting time at Kailash drive back to Kyirong border town, journey leads past great Tibetan dry plateau on newly opened route of five hours overland drive to reach the frontier of Tibet / China and Nepal at Kyirong for last overnight stop in Tibetan soil.
Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu -150 km – 06 hrs and transfer to hotel.
Farewell to our Tibetan guides and drivers on leaving Tibet with short drive to cross border of Nepal and Tibet/China at Rasuwa-Gadhi. On completing visa and custom formalities enter into Nepal at Rasuwa Gadhi, here again complete immigration process and then continue drive on rough dirt road for a while to reach Syabrubesi village. After a short refreshing stop journey continues on winding uphill to reach
at Dhunche town. From Dhunche onward on good road to Kathmandu with scenic views of mountains, green scenery of hills and farm fields within nice villages and towns as drive brings you back at hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu transfer to your respective hotels with time for
individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

Tibet Permit: Tibet Permit and Entry Visa are solely governed by Chinese Rules and Regulation, where clients have to book at least a month ahead to obtain visa and permits to travel within Tibet / China. After booking at least minimum of one week send us your passport details and PP size photo to obtain necessary Tibet entry visa and permits well ahead.

China Visa: China Visa can be obtained in your home country also if you are traveling main land China after Tibet and Kailash Tour, as to enter China from Tibet one must obtain special Tibet permit also through Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu.


Hotel and Meals:Hotel and Meals on this Mt, Kailash and Manasrover Lake will be simple as you are traveling in far corners of Tibet / China, although a remote area where some town like Saga and Darchen offers some good nice hotels and lodges with good meal menu. On route kora or parikrama walks, where lodge accommodation and meals
will be simple and basic for few nights, but on reaching Saga and Kyirong will be glad to enjoy good room accommodation and foods available.


Transportation: Transportation from Nepal to border either in tourist coach and car as group size, within Tibet on four wheel drive (Land cruiser) from the start to the end of drive in Tibet.

to transfer at your hotel and to take care of your requirement, with
information of Kailash and Manasrover Lake Tour. On entering Tibet where our counterpart Tibetan company and native guide, drivers will guide and take care of you on Mt. Kailash tour and back to the border town at Kyirong. At the border our guide and transfer will transfer you back to Kathmandu.
