Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Beshisahar (750 m / 2,460 ft) - 06 hrs.
Morning from Kathmandu taking an interesting drive to reach at Nepal Mid-West around Lamjung district at Besisar town to start our marvelous adventure Chulu West Peak Climbing. Where drive leads you beyond Kathmandu valley and into warmer low country and observe rural farm villages and towns of great interest as drive slowly brings you at Beshisahar town for overnight stop.

Day 02: Drive to Dharapani (1,860m / 6,102ft) -05 hrs.
From the headquarter town of Lamjung at Beshisahar where drives takes you on four-wheel drive in jeeps towards high hills to reach at Manang areas in Dharapani. As ride leads past Bulbule village, following Marysangdi River with climb to nice village at Jagat, after a refreshing stop drive on gradual winding trail towards Chamje, leading into forested area, with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain range. Journey continues past Tal Besi village to reach Dharapani village for overnight stop, a nice village with much Buddhism culture which you will witness from here onward.

Day 03:  Trek to Chame (2,670 m/8759ft) - 05 hrs.
Morning walk leads along winding path into rhododendron, pine forest through Bagachap and Danque village, then to Timang village. From here onwards into Buddhist culture area with view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft. From Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, a large and major town and headquarter of Manang area.

Day 04: Trek to Upper Pisang (3,300 m /10,826 ft)-5 hrs.
Adventure continues into cooler area from here onwards closer to mountainous region, trekking through nice alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following Masrsyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, after lunch break at Dukuri Pokhari walk descends to lower Pisang village and then a short up reach higher village of Pisang for overnight stop, offers fabulous views of Chulus with Pisang Peak including Annapurna II-III and IV with Gangapurna Himal.

Day 05: Trek to Manang (3,540 m /11,614 ft) - 05 hrs.
At Upper Pisang village facing with grand views of mountains walk leads through woodland with short uphill and views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. As the walk leads to Hongde village, from here tree lines disappear for barren, landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate. Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics and then an hour walk brings at Manang village. The houses here are built up in traditional Tibetan style and Manang people are known for their rich cultural and traditions.

Day 06:
  Rest day at Manang for local hike (Ice Lake 4,600m/15091ft) and acclimatization.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation, explore Manang village, located beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range and Manang glacial Lake or one can take a long high uphill to reach Ice Lake above Manang valley.

Day 07: Trek to Leder (4,200 m /13,779 ft) - 04hrs.
After a good rest at Manang, morning walk leads towards Ghunsang village on the uphill path to Yak Kharka to reach at Ledar, an interesting high altitude trekking with super views of snowcapped mountains, then crossing a small stream river to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with tremendous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks. From Yak Kharka a short walk of an hour reaches you at Ledar for last overnight in the comfort of a lodge, where from here onward in tents with camping facilities for the Chulu West Peak Climbing.

Day 08: Trek to Chulu Base Camp (4,930 m /16,174 ft) - 05 hrs.
From Ledar on leaving main trail of popular and famous Annapurna Circuit that leads to Thorang-la, where our route leads towards complete wilderness to reach a small glacial stream past Yak herder's shades and at Yak pasture fields which leads up to a ridge into a hidden valley where our base camp is located at 4,930 m high.

Day 09: Climb to High Camp 5,530 m /18,143 ft (Training day)-06 hrs.
With rest at high camp and at Base Camp with some training and practice climb, morning walk leads uphill to a steep scree slopes at a col or a ridge and then reaching at north of the col ascending the snow slopes for 200 meters to the base of a band or rock at an altitude of 5,100m and where possible High Camp will be pitched for this great climb to the summit of Chulu Central.

Day 10:Acclimatize day, If feel comfortable we can do Same day summit(6584m/21601ft).
Today a full rest day for acclimatization and preparation for the climb, getting busy sorting out climbing equipment for the main Big Day! With rest of the afternoon rest saving energy for next early morning climb, while our expert guide will scout the route of safe and accessible climb to the top of Chulu Central Peak.

Day 11: Climb to Chulu Central Peak Climbing  (6584m/21601ft) and Back to Chulu Base Camp(4930m/16174ft). Day 12: Trek to Manang (3,540 m /11, 614 ft) - 06 hrs.
After a great adventure and climb of great thrill on top Chulu Central Peak and then our return journey leads back on the same trail to Manang village for drive to Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Day 13: Drive to Besisahar (750m / 2,460 ft) -06 hrs.
From Manang on exciting and scenic drive towards low warm areas of paddy fields and villages following Marysangdi River downstream to reach at interesting town at Besisahar for last overnight in Nepal Mid-West.

Day 14: Drive to Kathmandu (1,300m / 4,265ft or Pokhara (860m / 2,821ft) - 06 hrs.
Enjoying marvelous time and adventure on Chulu Central Peak Climbing morning drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway with few refreshing stops on route Kathmandu. If not heading to Kathmandu, with options for drive to scenic Pokhara which is much shorter journey of few hours to reach at beautiful Pokhara and its calm Phewa Lake where most of the good hotels and resorts located.

ALTERNATIVE TREK (EXTRA COST)

Day 12: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,525m / 14,845ft) -05hrs
Morning walk lead back at Ledar, after a break here continue walk to higher elevation getting closer to the base of Thorang-la, after crossing a bridge a climb leads along the bank of Jarjung river, and then finally walk reaches at Thorang Phedi, with short stop continue climb for a short while to Thorang Phedi for overnight stop.

Day 13:  Cross Thorong-La Pass (5,416 m/17769ft) and to Muktinath(3,800 /12467ft) - 07 hrs. One of the main highlight of the adventure, with early breakfast trek follows a long climb up to Thorong-la with steep haul on the winding path to Thorong La Pass at 5,416. The highest point on trekp, the pass offers super views of awesome sceneries of snowcapped peaks after feeling high reaching the main highlight, and then a long descend leads to Muktinath at 3,800 m. On reaching Muktinath for overnight stop, a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

Day 14: Trek to Jomsom (2,720 m / 8,923ft) - 05 hrs.
After Muktinath, rest of the walks is moderate walks with a big drop of 1,200m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley, and to Jomsom headquarter town of Mustang region with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River. One of the most charming area with whitewashed houses, paved streets and numerous well kept lodges. Here celebrate with local apple products like cider, brandy and juice this area from Kagbeni to Larjung is famous for its delicious apple and its product.

Day 15: Drive or Fly to Pokhara (860 m / 2821ft).
Morning an early short and scenic flight from Jomsom to land at Pokhara airport with fantastic panorama of mountain views during air-borne, at Pokhara transfer to your hotel by the scenic Phewa Lake with wonderful views of Annapurna and Machhapuchare peak towards north.
