Pisang Peak Climbing takes you high to its summit at above 6.091 m and 19, 983 ft high, facing marvelous scenery of beautiful Manang valley and its dramatic landscapes with towering peaks of Chulus, Annapurna with Damodar and Manaslu range towards east.

Pisang Peak Climbing area, located high above Manang valley on top Pisang village within Nepal Mid-West Himalaya where walk leads you on famous and popular Annapurna Circuit trekking route.

One of the most magnificent areas within Himalaya situated north of massive Annapurna peaks a lofty mountains within range of Chulus stand majestically above Pisang village and high Manang valley.

Adventure to Pisang Peak Climbing takes you to warmer low areas of Lamjung district at headquarter town of Beshisahar, an interesting place to observe Nepalese way of traditional farm life.

Walk begins after a drive towards mid hills within cooler alpine zone at Manang areas in Dharapani, where our trek starts heading past Chame a nice large town and a district headquarter of Manang areas.

As journey continues towards our main goal and highlight on Pisang Peak Climbing, walking uphill into serene woodland of rhododendron and pines trees to reach at Pisang village lined with Buddhist prayer walls and spinning wheels.

Pisang village located at high Manang valley overlooking grand views of Annapurna II-IV with Chulu peaks towards north and majestic looking Pisang Peak above the village.

Adventure leads high away from main trail of Annapurna circuit to reach within sheer wilderness of pristine nature of mountains and high hills at Pisang Peak base camp.

With ample time for practice and exercise including acclimatization days before Pisang Peak Climbing, where grade is taken from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification as PD + means ‘Per Difficule’ that’s walk and climb on rocky moraine and ice with glaciated path, a straight-forward climb but with high technical skill required in some section of the climb to its high summit top, where our highly professional climbing guides leads you on top safe and sound.

At the top where you will be stunned with fantastic views of unique and magnificent panorama of surrounding terrain and high peaks that encircles you at the summit of Pisang Peak.

After feeling high on top of the world return journey taking the same route to Pisang village, where interesting overland drive takes you back at warmer low region of Lamjung at Beshisahar town and the continue drive to Kathmandu or Pokhara, with wonderful experience and adventure on top Pisang Peak Climbing.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Besi Sahar (750 m / 2,460 ft) - 06 hrs.

Morning from Kathmandu taking an interesting drive to reach at Nepal Mid-West around Lamjung district at Besisar town to start our marvelous adventure Chulu West Peak Climbing. Where drive leads you beyond Kathmandu valley and into warmer low country and observe rural farm villages and towns of great interest as drive slowly brings you at Beshisahar town for overnight stop.

Day 02: Drive to Dharapani (1,860m / 6,102ft) -05 hrs.

From the headquarter town of Lamjung at Beshisahar where drives takes you on four-wheel drive in jeeps towards high hills to reach at Manang areas in Dharapani. As ride leads past Bulbule village, following Marysangdi River with climb to nice village at Jagat, after a refreshing stop drive on gradual winding trail towards Chamje, leading into forested area, with super views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain range. Journey continues past Tal Besi village to reach Dharapani village for overnight stop, a nice village with much Buddhism culture which you will witness from here onward.

Day 03:  Trek to Chame (2,670 m/8759ft) - 05 hrs.

Morning walk leads along winding path into rhododendron, pine forest through Bagachap and Danque village, then to Timang village. From here onwards into Buddhist culture area with view of Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft. From Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for overnight stop, a large and major town and headquarter of Manang area.

Day 04: Trek to Upper Pisang (3,300 m /10,826 ft)-5 hrs.

Adventure continues into cooler area from here onwards closer to mountainous region, trekking through nice alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following Masrsyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, after lunch break at Dukuri Pokhari walk descends to lower Pisang village and then a short up reach higher village of Pisang for overnight stop, offers fabulous views of Chulus with Pisang Peak including Annapurna II-III and IV with Gangapurna Himal.

Day 05: Trek to Pisang Base Camp (4,380m / 14,370 ft)- 5hrs

After a nice overnight in Upper Pisang village, our route leads further north above Pisang village, as tree lines drops for short bushes within Yak grazing land, called Kharka. Climbing over high ridge to reach at Pisang peak base camp, where our guide and staff will set up the base camp with camping equipments at 4,380 meters high, first night in tents meals prepared by our expert cook and kitchen staff.

Day 06: Climb to High Camp (5,400 m / 17,716ft) and Training day.

A short day but tough due to high altitude, morning walk follows faint trail where few climbers and Yak herders hardly use this path to high camp, as the walk leads over rocks, ice and glacier to reach bottom of Pisang Peak where high camp is set for the climb. Afternoon our guide will scout the area for safe accessible route to the summit fixing ropes and making ice ledges where necessary, High Camp situated on long ridge of Pisang Peak, under some conditions this area may be under snow, afternoon free to sort the gear with preparation for the early morning climb with some training for the summit bid next early morning.

Day 07:  Acclimatize day, If feeling fine climb on the same day to the summit.

A necessary day for proper preparation and acclimatization for final ascent to the summit of Pisang peak and this day allows our guide to check the best assailable routes to reach the top of the lofty and dome shaped Pisang Peak.

Day 08: Climb to the Summit of Pisang Peak (Jong-Ri) 6,091 m / 19,983 ft and to Pisang Village.

Our highlight and goal of the adventure, starting early before dawn climb over moraine and rubble of ice falls, following lead guide reaching high above on a well defined ridge towards last snow slope. As climb progress heading quite steeply without much difficulty where some technical skill required in few sections, where climb leads you all the way to the top of Pisang summit with great support of our expert guide. On the summit top taking refreshing break and then enjoy beautiful panorama of whole Annapurna Mountains, with Chulu range with Damodar peaks towards north includes view of Manaslu Mountain in the east horizon. After being on top and highest spot at 6,091 m / 19,983 ft high, descent is made on the same route to base camp, as time permits and possible with physical strength after the climb descend all the way to Pisang village.

Day 09: Drive to Besisahar (750m/2460ft) - 06hrs.

From Pisang village an exciting and scenic drive towards low warm areas of paddy fields and villages following Marysangdi River downstream to reach at interesting town at Besisahar for last overnight in Nepal Mid-West.

Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu (1300m/4265ft) or Pokhara (860m/2821ft) -05 to 06hrs.

Enjoying marvelous time and adventure on Pisang Peak Climbing morning drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway with few refreshing stops on route Kathmandu. If not heading to Kathmandu, with options for drive to scenic Pokhara which is much shorter journey of few hours to reach at beautiful Pokhara and its calm Phewa Lake where most of the good hotels and resorts located.
