Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu (Tribhuvan Int´l Airport) to Lukla (Tenzing-Hilliary Airport) early morning 30 minutes scenic flight then Trek to Phakding (2,612 m and 8,570 ft) - 3/4 hours.
As per time for morning flight for Lukla transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport where you can view Himalayan range of peaks with Everest during 35 mins flight to land at Lukla, after a break walk starts to Phakding for overnight stop, where walk is gradual with few ups and down to Phakding located by Dudh Kosi River.
Day 02: Trek to NamcheBazzar (3,440 meter/11,287 feet) via Sagarmatha National Park check post- 6/7 hours.
With pleasant overnight at Phakding morning walks starts on pleasant path to reach at Sagarmatha National Park, after collecting park tickets then walk to cross a bridge, as walk continues into forest then last final climb of the day brings you at famed Namche Bazaar.
Day 03: Acclimatization (rest) day in Namche Bazaar.
At Namche enjoy rest day with optional hike to help with acclimatization as Namche and around perfect place for short exercise to overcome altitude problems, where one can take a hike to Everest view point for views of Everest –Nuptse-Lhotse and Amadablam with range of smaller peaks. Namche offers and interesting museum information of Khumbu Sherpa, landscapes, flora and fauna with history of mountaineering around Khumbu area, rest of the afternoon browse around streets and bazaar of Namche.
Day 04: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters/12665 feet) - 5/6 hours.
After Namche on wide scenic trail to walk into patch of tree lines facing views of Everest and other peaks, as walks takes you further high areas at Tengboche, after climbing into woodland of rhododendron-oaks and pines trees to reach at Tengboche Monastery for overnight stop, here time to explore its monastery of great interest within views of peaks includes Everest and Amadablam.
Day 05: Trek to Dingboche (4410 meters/14,468 feet)-4/5 hours.
Morning catch views of Everest and Amadablam, where walk leads downhill to a river after crossing a bridge, then on gradual up to Pangboche village with close view of Amadablam. From Pangboche tree lines fades for short bush of juniper and Burberry, walk leads further east direction to reach at overnight stop in Dingboche, placed within scenic Imjatse valley, from here where you can get excellent views of Island peak with Amadablam North Face.
Day 06: Acclimatization (rest) day in Dingboche, Hike to Nagarjun peak (5,100 meters/16728 feet) and return.
An important having rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization, where one hike higher near Nagarjun hill, to support acclimatization rewards you with great views of mountain range and as far towards Makalu, afternoon relax and enjoy surrounding scenery.
Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4,940 meters/16208 feet)-3/4 hours.
From Dingboche walk up for short-while and then on slow gradual uphill path to reach at Thugla, a small isolated place with few shops and tea-house, having lunch here on uphill trail to reach at Thugla ridge. On top where you can see great many stone memorials of unfortunate climbers who died on climbs on Everest and other high peaks of Khumbu area, after a short rest continue walk to Lobuche for overnight stop.
Day 08: Trek to Gorak-Shep (5,164 meters/ 16942 feet) + after lunch without back pack hike Everest Base Camp (5,364 meter/17598 feet) go & back -4/5 hours.
After overnight at Lobuche walk towards Everest base camp heading past above Khumbu glacier and rocky moraine as walk takes to a flat sandy field, where Gorakshep situated with some lodges on route Everest base camp, continue to our destination at base camp within massive glaciers with huge block of Khumbu Ice-Fall. Enjoying moments at Everest base camp then walk back to Gorakshep for overnight stop.
Day 09: Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,550 meters/18,192 feet)-4/5 hours then trek down to Lobuche (4,940 meters/16208 feet) 2 hours.
Morning a great walk and climb to Kalapathar view point facing super views of mountains within close backdrop of Everest and lofty peak Pumori, and then descend to Gorakshep and continue walk to Lobuche for next adventure towards Kongma-la and Island Peak.
Day 10: Trek to Chhukung(4,730 meters/15,518 feet) via Kongma La pass (5,535 meters/18,159 feet) - 6/7 hours.
Another great adventure helps you to climb Island peak where early morning walk leads towards Khumbu glacier to cross over Kongma La Pass to reach at isolated settlement at Chhukung on route Island Peak.
Day 11: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 meters/17,060 feet) - 3/4 hours.
After overnight at Chukung, adventure continues with morning walk to reach at Parsya Gyab around Island Peak Base Camp, walking with steep climb and crossing over moraine on top Lhotse glacier, as trek leads to follow icy stream then reaching a snout of Imja glacier, and over dry pond in-between Lhotse and Imja glaciers at base camp within a place called Pareshaya Gyab. Afternoon time to relax for short walks and practice climb, as well checking route of our climb for early next morning.
Day 12: Pre-Climbing Training on Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 meters/17,060 ft).
A full day with rest as it helps and support you to acclimatize with final preparation for climb on top Island Peak, today check your climbing equipment and get ready for next day early climb, afternoon with time for climbing training on ice and rocky walls at base camp.
Day 13: Summit on Island Peak (6,189 meters/20,305 feet) and back down Base Camp -11/12 hours.
With great practice and acclimatization walking to Everest base camp and Kalapathar with Kongma la today all the good exercise helps to start our adventure and climb on top Island Peak. As climb takes you to cross over a glacier with pre-caution avoiding crevasses, as climb takes you straight north over snow covered scree in-between a glacier to the top ridge. A tough climb leads you over rocks and icefall sections, a steep snow and ice ramp reaches at near 100 meters (300ft) on top of the summit, on reaching at the top where our adventure completes for an hour before heading descend. On top summit enjoy grand views of landscapes and mountains, after a wonderful experience descend to base camp.
Day 14: Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters/12665 feet)-5/6 hours.
Enjoying exciting moment of the adventure with climb on top Island Peak, walk back to Dingboche and then towards Lukla after a successful time, a nice morning walk takes you at Dingboche for short rest and continue downhill to Pangboche with last hour climb back into tree lines to reach at scenic Tengboche Monastery for overnight stop.
Day 15: Trek down to Namche Bazaar (3,440 meter/11,287 feet) - 4/ 5 hours.
Catching early morning panorama of Everest with array of peaks with Amadablam, where walk descend to cross a river and then climb up to Shanasa, as walk gets better on gradual path then reaching at Namche for overnight stop.
Day 16:Trek Down to Lukla (2,860meter/ 9,383 feet)-6/7 hours.
A long day walk but with great difference on losing altitude every hour of walk on downhill to reach at Sagarmatha National Park near Monjo to reach Phakding, and then on easier route with last final climb towards Lukla for last overnight around high Khumbu and Everest region.
Day 17: Lukla (Tenzing -Hillary Airport) to Kathmandu.
After a great success achieving our dream reaching on top Island peak, where morning air-journey takes you at Kathmandu, after walking past Tenzing-Hillary air terminal to board in a smaller plane and the flying back to Kathmandu with transfer to your respective hotels.
