Introduction of Yala Peak Climbing
Yala Peak climbing leads to your classic adventure on top of the stunning mountain of less than 6,000 m. The Yala Peak height (5,500 m /18,044ft) located on the beautiful mid-Langtang Valley, which towers within Langtang Lirung and Langtang-Ri peaks.
Yala Peak climbing graded as just ‘F’ which is ‘Facial Easy’ from French / Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification Systems. A straight-forward ascent of less technical effort, but the use of crampons-ice ax and descender with ropes needed on some section during descent bid after a strenuous climb to the summit top.
At the top of the Yala Peak summit rewards you with a magnificent panorama of Langtang Himal range. As far towards Dorji-Lakpa around Jugal Himal with Ganesh and Manaslu west direction includes high mountains of Tibet.
Short Overview of Yala Peak Climbing
Starting fabulous Yala Peak Climbing adventure taking an interesting overland journey reaching at Syaprubensi village. From where starts our walks towards scenic Langtang valley & Kyanging Gumpa and beyond.
The walk leads to high hills and into a river gorge covered with dense rain and alpine woodland which makes ideal habitats for some elusive and endangered wildlife such as Red Panda often sighted during the walks.
As journey progress reaching a wide-open valley of Langtang at Kyanjing with marvelous time and acclimatization days having some exercise and practice climb on scenic high view point hill, to get ready for overwhelming adventure climb on top Yala Peak.
From scenic Kyanging heading further northeast to reach the base of Yala Peak, where camping involves during the climb next early morning following our lead expert guide climbing without much technical difficulty then reaching on top Yala Peak, overlooking the wide panorama of mountains and dramatic landscapes.
Enjoying the highlight of the adventure with awesome scenery then descend safely back towards Kyanjing Gumba. After ytaht trek bck to Syaprubensi village for exciting drive to Kathmandu, after a most remarkable experience of a lifetime on Yala Peak Climbing.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Drive to Syaprubensi (1,503 m) – 6 hrs.
Morning starts with exciting overland journey to reach at high cooler region around Rasuwa district heading towards Dhunche town, within country of Tamang people the tribes of Langtang Himal.
As drive ends at Syabrubensi for first overnight stop within Langtang Himal areas just north of Kathmandu.
Day 02: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,450 m) - 4/5 hrs.
First day walk begins crossing a bridge and then climb up within farm fields and then on gradual winding walk encountering dense forest of tall rhododendron-oaks and pines tree lines, and then reaching a clearing within forest at Lama Hotel for overnight stop.
Day 03: Trek to Langtang Village (3,430 m) - 4/5 hrs.
Walk begins in the morning following the Langtang River upstream within thick vegetation and deep woodland then arriving at a small spot in Ghodetabla, having refreshing break for sometimes and continue walks into forest crossing few smaller streams to reach at Langtang village for overnight stop, at one time much larger village due to past years earthquake the houses around was wiped out, slowly coming back to normal life.
At Langtang village for overnight stop where you can find traces and damaged by the earthquake of 2015.
Day 04: Trek to Kyanjing Gompa (3,830 m) - 4/5 hrs.
Today will be a nice walk on much easier path to reach at Kyangjing Gompa located within beautiful Langtang valley surrounded by array of peaks, where trek leads to short climb and then on wide open valley to Kyangjing Gompa in the comfort of nice cozy lodge for several overnights here before and after Yala Peak Climbing.
Day 05: One day more in Kyanjing Gompa Visit around Kyanjing-Ri 4,773 m /15,659 ft or Tsherko-Ri 4,984 m/16,351ft.
At Kyanjing Gompa for extra day to support acclimatization and with day hike to scenic hill top adding more heights which helps you to acclimatize better as well reward you with magnificent panorama of surrounding high peaks of Langtang Himal and adjoining mountains.
Day 06: Trek to Yala peak Base Camp (4,870 m) - Camping.
Morning walk leads further east from Kyanjing Gompa towards main highlight of the adventure, walks leads on grassy meadow then around reaching rocky and glacier area with steep climb to reach a flat area for overnight camp just beneath towering Yala Peak at 4, 870 m high.
From the camp enjoy views of Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Yala peak and adjoining mountains.
Day 07: Climb to Yala Peak Summit 5,500 m /18,044ft and back to Kyanjing-Gompa (3,830 m) -8/9 hrs (Camping)
Starting early at the break of dawn following our lead and expert guide climbing on snow slopes encountering ice and rocky sections as ascent progress with much technical effort but with vigorous climb to reach the summit of Yala Peak.
From the summit enjoy spectacular panorama of whole Langtang Himal with Shishapangma (Tibet side), Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and range of mountains of both sides of the country, enjoying marvelous moment descend safely back to Kyanjing Gumba.
Day 08: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,450 m) - 5/6 hrs.
Walk gets much easier as altitude drops every step on downhill to enter back into green lush vegetation and tree lines following river downstream to reach at Lama Hotel for overnight stop.
Day 09: Trek to Syaprubensi (1,503 m) - 4/5 hrs.
Our last day of trekking of this great adventure Yala Peak climbing, enjoy walking on pleasant downhill within serene woodland and with much descend to reach back on the road-head at Syaprubensi village for final overnight stop around Langtang Himal.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,300 m) - 5/6hrs.
Morning after breakfast board in a bus or similar vehicle as per group size then drive towards Dunche on winding ups and following downhill route to reach warmer areas of Nuwakot and then descend on good road to reach back to your hotel in Kathmandu, after a mesmerizing time and adventure on Yala Peak Climbing.
