Starting this interesting tour after breakfast from respective hotels, where our city guide will pick you up at 9 a.m. for wonderful cultural and Heritage Tour around Kathmandu.
Our interesting tour starts with a short drive around Kathmandu at places of great interest, morning tour leads to famous Hindu Holy Temple at Pashupatinath adorned with golden pagoda roof, although non Hindu are not allowed in the main temple premises, however one can have perfect views of the temple with pilgrims performing holy rites and offering.
Next part of the Heritage Tour Around Kathmandu Valley continues with a visit of beautiful Bouddhanath Stupa which is mere distance of 20 minutes drive from Pashupatinath temple (Also part of Kathmandu Tour) .
Bouddhanath with huge dome shaped Stupa believed to an incarnation of Dharmakaya (Buddha mind) and hence an object of devotion for all Buddhists.
The Stupa constructed in traditional Nepalese architectural with raised platforms of two layers with all seeing eyes of Buddha.
This place is also called “Little Tibet” where many Tibetans and Tibetan origin people reside with shops and stores and many excellent restaurants, where we can stop for lunch break before our next interesting tour.
Tour of Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath lasts for few hours with a lunch stop in Bouddha in one of its nice terraced restaurant with views of the large Stupa.
Afternoon a short drive to Swayambhunath, a popular and famous pilgrimage sites for Buddhist and Hindu as well. An ancient Chaitiya or Stupa and a major symbol of Nepal’s Buddhist heritage, Swayambhunath represents Primordial Buddha or Adi-Buddha.
The hill top where Swayambhunath Chaitiya is built is called Padmagiri, Vajrakuta, Gosringa, Gopuchha, Samhegu, and Simbhu and listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From Swayambhunath after a wonderful tour, our next visit leads with a short drive in the hub of Kathmandu around old palace courtyard square areas also known as Hanuman Dhoka (door guarded by a monkey god devotee of lord Rama).
The square stemmed with active local life with interesting old palace of Malla and Shah Regime and close to the palace where famous Living Goddess known as Kumari ( a virgin Goddess) resides near an old Kastamandap temple (temple built from a wood of single tree) where Kathmandu name comes from.
The afternoon tour last for few hours ending by approx 4:30 p.m or 5 p.m. after completing exciting and fascinating day tour retire back to your hotel.
