Overview

Gosainkund Pilgrims Tour of 4 days, located just north of Kathmandu valley within Langtang Mountain range which can be seen from the city on clear fine day, where walk leads you after an exciting drive to reach alpine cooler hills at Dhunche a headquarter town of Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal.

From Dhunche heading uphill within serene deep forested areas covered by tall rhododendron (national flower of Nepal), magnolia, oaks and pine trees to reach at small and nice Sing Gompa, also called Chandanbari (a place for sandal wood), after an enjoyable stop further climb past tree lines to reach at famous and popular mountain pilgrimage site at holy Gosainkund.

Gosainkund regarded as one of the holiest of all holy places for Hindu followers where great festival takes place in the month of August as per Hindu Lunar calendar during full moon time, large numbers of pilgrims visit for worship to lord Shiva and with dip and bathe in the sacred pond of Gosainkund.

Day 02: Walk to Lauribinayak (3,910 meters) -3/4 hours.
Day 03: Walk to Goshainkunda Lake (4,380 metrs), Shower, Puja then back to Lauribinayak – 7/8 hours.
Day 04: Walk to Dhunche- 5/6 hours then drive back to Kathmandu-3/4 hours.
