Everest / Sagarmatha (Everest), and several other well-known peaks with Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyo, Pumori, Amadablam, Thermasarkhu, Kwangde, Khangtiaga, and Gyachung Kang.

Autumn and pre-winter seasons another best time for pleasant and scenic walks and to enjoy an interesting colorful festival called ‘Mani Rimdu’ of Tengboche Monastery en route to Everest base camp. This grand religious event held every year in the month of October or November as per the Buddhist Lunar calendar, it will be an excellent opportunity for trekkers if
the trek departure dates coincide with the festival. During the month of October to December, most of the morning and day are clear with chances of snow sometimes with cold freezing temperatures in the morning and night time, but one can enjoy the bright starry night sky in autumn and winter times. An enjoyable scenic season for walks and superb views of high snow-capped mountains, but days are much shorter with sunlight hours but one of the best times and options to choose.

Apart from best seasons of spring and autumn/fall where one can trek in the middle of winter also, during January till the end of February although freezing cold temperature but days are bright and beautiful for views. Some people might be interested in treks in off and low season of the year during the middle of winter times at the end of the autumn season, and enjoy a peaceful walk encountering only a few groups of trekkers along the trail and in overnight lodge stop. Trekking in low season is another good times if one does not mind the freezing cold, where you will be walking in undisturbed and serene surroundings with less number of trekkers, during the off and low tourism season in Nepal.
