Current Situation of Nepal
Nepal is not the only country affected by this Global pandemic due to the Nobel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The whole world is in its dangerous time because of the disaster named coronavirus found in December in Wuhan China. Because of its ability to spread rapidly from a person to another, it’s safe to have social distancing among all the people in the world. Lockdown is the best option to have a perfect social distance with people to stop/slow down the transmission of COVID-19.
Nepal Government announced lockdown from 24 March and the effect of this can be seen in many fields. The overall economy of the country starts falling downwards right after the announcement of Lockdown throughout the country. Education, Travel, and other corporate fields of the country is affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Schools are closed, the business hub is closed, the road is clean and every citizen stays inside their home to prevent themselves and the whole country by this global pandemic.

Daily Lifestyle
Due to the lockdown daily lifestyle of all people around the country is paused and everyone is staying inside their home with their family. People having normal work outside their homes can’t go out because of this pandemic. Labor working throughout the day and using the income later for dinner in the evening is in critical condition. Construction workers, the delivery guy is in difficult conditions.
Every citizen does their specific tasks, work to survive the next day, and this pandemic has stopped them to work and made them stay inside the home.
Travel Industry
Nepal is the trekking hub of the world. Here are the many tourists traveling for doing trekking and climbing like Everest base camp trek, Annapurna circuit trek, Island peak Climbing, Mera peak climbing and many more. In this situation, the most affected and critical side of this global pandemic is the Travel industry. First of all international travel is stopped and then national. People who already left their place for a journey, are sucked in unfamiliar places. Everyone had a specific plan for the holiday season for traveling to different beautiful places in Nepal like Pokhara, Mustang, trekking, climbing and expeditions and many more needed to cancel their trip. Foreigner has already stopped coming to Nepal and the travel industry is in the most difficult condition more than ever. No, any foreign traveler will be coming to Nepal after this pandemic situation caused by Nobel
Corona Virus.
One of the main source of national income is in the most critical condition. Overall economy of country is falling down because of closing down one of the best sources of income. Visit Nepal 2020 is now cancelled, in early march which will surely affect the government’s plan for the rest of the year. Official from around the world will come up with plan to get out of this situation for sure.
Education
Students, teacher, school, college, university are locked and locked down in home. This is the critical time for education sector. Exams would have been held, papers would have been checked, and result leading to admission for higher level education would have been done. All this is paused and everyone is in difficult condition.
Students preparing for examination are in panic condition thinking when will exam happen and how am I supposed to deal with the ongoing condition. Officials are challenged on how to finish each work of this
sector. They soon will come up with an excellent ideas to fight with COVID-19.
Business Area
All corporate areas and business hub are closed as of now to stop the transmission of coronavirus. Business areas are vulnerable for this type of disease as people will gather at the same places for long time period. Status of these area determines the overall economy of the country so it’s not good to close corporate areas for long time. Distancing of people for at least 1 meter with safety measure might allow owners and officials to open these hub in coming days.
Industrial Areas
The situation has to hamper Production and supply of goods from industrial areas. Top industrial areas of Nepal like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Hetauda, Narayahghat is partially closed to support the decision of the government. Enabling the industry to run smoothly by strictly following the rules and regulations will help in supplying food, and other daily needs to the public.
Transportation
One of the most affected side of the pandemic situation is transportation, which is closed as of now from 22 march till this date. People are stuck wherever they were before the decision was made. No any vehicle is being seen on the road, however some essential vehicle like ambulance, water supply are running.
Most essential vehicle of officials, health worker, and food delivery are running, and a special pass is given to them. Even private vehicle are not running in these days.
Health Sector
Other than emergency cure, hospitals are not looking forward to serve people with normal disease. Accidents and other emergency cases are running smoothly. If things goes extreme for normal disease, people can go to hospitals for checkup as health is the most essential part of our life.
People should follow the health instruction provided by government and doctors to go to public places like hospitals and other healthcare places. Avoiding touching of any places by hand is one of the most essential things inside the hospitals.
Entertainment
Well, it’s not the time for any kind of outdoor entertainment. Movie theatre, fun parks and another spot for fun are strictly prohibited. Friend gather for fun, partying is not what to be done to stop the transmission of coronavirus. However indoor fun is the best things people should do for themselves and
the country.
Watching the movie, playing mobile games and other indoor games are the best alternatives for people to engage themselves in this pandemic situation. Killing boredom is what people need to do to motivate themselves for the future. Watching the motivational videos, reading books, and gathering ideas for the future through the internet is what people should do. Online class from an expert in the related field is being given for needy one. So people need to develop themselves in each aspect.
Banking
Transaction of money is now closed, money is breezed in the bank, investment is not possible, this is the most critical time for the banking sector. After 1 week of lockdown banks announcement to give service from some of the branches to help people to give and take money. Online banking is the best alternative for these days.
Hospitality
Because of restrictions on travel and transportation, the hospitality sector is facing a difficult situation. Hotels do not have any clients at all and it is causing decrement of overall economy. I hope everything will back to normal for sometimes. Then hospitality will shine again as a pillar of national income and economy.
