Introduction

 Everest  Short Trek is an exclusive adventure of short duration time. This is especially true for people with great interest in viewing Mt. Everest at a close distance and as well to observe the local culture of the Sherpa people.

The trekking fulfills your great dreams within three nights and four days. Enjoying lovely moments with daily views of high Himalayan peaks in the shade of Mt. Everest.

The trek starts with a swift short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla town. Then walk starts exploring lovely Sherpa farm villages decorated with religious monuments of Buddhist religious villages overnight.

The walk continues past Sagarmatha National Park enriched with exotic flora and fauna entering into the cool shade of the alpine forest with the climb to the famous Namche Bazaar unto high Khumjung village located in a scenic glacial valley.

Enjoy grand views of Mt. Everest with another array of peaks walk into nice cultural villages around Khumjung and visit its old monastery with the hike to Everest View Hotel for a clear and close look of Mt. Everest.

After a scenic moment head downhill past Namche to reach Lukla for the last overnight stop in the high Everest region, where the next morning’s panoramic flight brings you to Kathmandu, with wonderful memories and a great experience on Everest Short Trekking.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Fly to Lukla 2,860 m and trek to Monjo 2,835 m / 9,301ft via Phakding 2,640 m. 05-06 hrs walk.

Early morning pick up from your Kathmandu hotel and transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for a short and scenic flight to Lukla, taking a smaller aircraft (Twin Otter or Dornier) during 30 minutes on air facing panorama of Himalayan peaks with Mt. Everest, as the plane lands at Tenzing & Hillary airport in Lukla.

From here a slow start with a few hours of walks downhill past many Sherpa farm villages with well-tended crops and vegetable fields and terraces with occasional views of snow-capped peaks of Kwangde and Kusum Khanguru, and then reaching our first overnight stop at Monjo, after walking past Phakding in the comfort of nice and cozy lodge.

Day 02: Trek to Khumjung 3,790 m /12,434 ft via Namche Bazaar 3,440 m /  11,286 ft - 05-06 hrs.

Today a long uphill walk to reach at famous Namche Bazaar and beyond Khumjung village, the morning starts reaching Sagarmatha National Park entrance near Monjo village, ‘Sagarmatha’ for Everest in Nepalese, while Sherpa calls Chomolungma (of Tibetan origin) in both languages, means 'Great Mother'. You will have a great time on this day, This is the main day of our Everest Short Trek

From here a pleasant walk on the river bed then climb for a few hours into the forested trail with views of snow-capped peaks, as this scenic walk reaches you at exciting Namche Bazaar.

At Namche Bazaar for a refreshing lunch stop, afternoon uphill from Namche to reach a hilltop, as the route diverts with a climb to Syangboche, a small settlement with an old airstrip.

Facing views of mountains as the walk leads with gradual ups and downs to reach one the largest villages of Khumbu at Khumjung.

Khunde and Khumjung villages are located within scenic glacial valleys beneath the peaks of holy Khumbila, the patron god of Khumbu Sherpa. Here with time visit it another old monastery, the only place where you can witness a scalp believed to be of Yeti, which is kept safe and secure in a glass box where visitors to see with some donation.

Day 03: Trek down to Lukla 2,860 m/ 9,383 ft transfer to lodge - 06 / 07 hrs

Morning hike up to Everest View Hotel where you can overlook Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse with Amadablam, and a series of peaks, after afresh morning walks and glamorous scenery, the last day walk of the adventure follows a long descent past Namche Bazaar and Monjo.

As walk leads towards Phakding and Ghat villages crossing a few times over Dudh Kosi, and then with a short climb to reach Lukla for the last overnight around high and scenic Khumbu within the Everest region before Kathmandu.

Day 04: From Lukla fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Morning flight to Kathmandu with a panorama of mountains to Kathmandu, at Kathmandu domestic airport our staff will transfer you back to your hotel with a free afternoon to relax after a great time on the Everest Short Trek 4 days.
