A wonderful adventure on high and enclosed valley at Gokyo Lake, a perfect combination of scenic and cultural walks with visit around traditional Sherpa villages of Buddhist culture and heritage.

Starting the journey to Gokyo Ri & Everest Panorama with short flight to Lukla, start and finishing point of all adventure destinations around Everest area.

From Lukla walk starts through traditional villages of Sherpa around Ghat- Phakding – Monjo to reach at famous Namche Bazaar.

At Namche with acclimatization day with short walks to its view-points or just relax and enjoy the views, Namche with fine shops-stores and many good restaurants and cyber café.

Our adventure continues leading to lovely rhododendron-pines and fir forest with views of Mt. Everest-Amadablam-Tharmarsku-Kwangde and many other close peaks.

After few hours on the main trail of Everest our walk diverts heading uphill to Mong to reach our destination at Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri.

Walk leads past Dole and Macherma where tree lines fade away to reach glacier and moraine country at Gokyo Lake.

At Gokyo with beautiful surrounding and hike to Gokyo Ri view points with fantastic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu and Mt. Makalu.

After a great moment heading back to Lukla visiting villages of Phortse, Pangboche and scenic Thyangboche Monastery and then back to Lukla for pleasant flight back to Kathmandu with wonderful memories of Gokyo Ri & Everest Panorama trekking and great services of White Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition.

Day 01:            Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02:            In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Day 03:            Fly to Lukla 2,830 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m – 04 hrs.
Day 04:            Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 05 hrs.
Day 05:            Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
Day 06:            Trek to Dole 4,110m – 06hrs

Day 08:            Trek to Gokyo 4,800m – 04 hrs
Day 09:            At Gokyo rest day with scenic hike to Gokyo Ri 5,357m.

Day 01:            Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport where White Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition staff will receive and then transfer you to respective hotels around Kathmandu city. After getting refreshed from the flight our guide briefs you with information of hotel, Kathmandu and Gokyo Ri & Everest Panorama trekking with welcome dinner in a nice Nepali restaurant.


Day 02:            Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Morning our city guide will take you for sightseeing tour at places of interest as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites, temples, monasteries, old king’s palaces after an interesting tour back to hotel, preparation for Gokyo Ri & Everest Panorama trekking.


Day 03:            Fly to Lukla 2,830 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m – 04 hrs.

Morning flight to Lukla with mountain views including Everest, on reaching Lukla with time for rest, then start first day trekking to Phakding village. Walk leads past farm villages with few short ups and down, beautiful views along the walk to Phakding for overnight stop.


Day 04:            Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 05 hrs.

After overnight at Phakding, morning trek leads over Dudh Kosi River and then past interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo to reach at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate.

From here walk on riverbanks for few hours, on crossing last bridge with climb to famous Namche Bazaar where you can explore this small town with facilities of nice restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks.

Day 05:            Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
A right place for rest and acclimatization day before trek to higher country, here take a short hike to Everest View Hotel or walk to Namche view point above at Sagarmatha National Park museum for super views of Everest, Amadablam and adjoining peaks, and visit of museum.


Day 06:            Trek to Dole 4,110m – 06 hrs.
From Namche heading on quiet trail to Gokyo first hour with moderate walks till Kyangima near Shanasa, around chances of seeing some wildlife the colorful Danphe pheasant (Impeyan Pheasant) National bird of Nepal and elusive musk deer, sometime even herd of Himalayan Thar (mountain goat). From here our route diverts towards north with a slow climb to the ridge at Mong 3,973 meters.

After Mong descend to Dudh Kosi at Phortse Thanghka.  Continue walk to Dole as the path leads into rhododendron forest passing Tongba village and Gyele to reach at Dole for overnight stop, with views of Khumbila and Tawache 6,542m.


Day 07:            Trek to Machherma 4,470m-04 hrs.
After Dole, continue walk along valley on level path for an hour to Lhabarma Kharka at 4,325 m and Luza 4,390 m; then skirting round the ridge, then heading downhill to Machherma for lunch and overnight stop, afternoon free for acclimatization and short hike for views of Mt. Cho Oyo 8,210m with Ngozumba Glacier.


Day 08:            Trek to Gokyo 4,800m -04 hrs.
From this nice area walk leads to Gokyo Lake following scenic trail to Pangka 4,545m, then climbing a rocky path into ablation valley passing first lake and second lake, then reaching at third lake known as Dudh Pokhari where Gokyo located at 4,790 meters. Acclimatization afternoon with half day frees walk around lake with views of world’s 06th highest Mt. Cho Oyo and Gyachung Kang.

Day 09:            At Gokyo hike to GokyoRi 5,357m.
Morning hike to Gokyo Ri at 5,357m the highlight of this journey the top offers awesome panorama of world’s highest mountains Mt. Cho Oyo, Gyachung Kang,
Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Cholatse, Taweche and to the east views of Mt. Makalu.

After a great exciting moment descend to Gokyo for lunch with rest of the afternoon free to enjoy surrounding beautiful sceneries.

Day 10:            Trek to Na or further on-route Phortse village – 04hrs.
After a marvelous time around Gokyo Lake with hike to Gokyo Ri, an easy short morning walk towards Phortse and Thyangboche. Our route diverts towards south east heading past Na close to Ngozumba Glacier. From Na walk further for overnight stop.

Day 11:            Trek to Phortse village 3,800 m – 04 hrs.

From this isolated small place walk leads downhill to reach Phortse village a lovely trekking beneath peak of Cholatse and Taboche with Machhermo village on the other side of the river, after good walk of 4-5 hours reaching an isolated sleepy village at Phortse for overnight stop.

Day 12:            Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m – 05 hrs.
Morning walk on quiet trail as this area least visited by trekkers, walk leads above Imjatse River on wide trail but quite drop to the river gorge down below with views of Thyangboche Monastery and snowcapped peaks along the walk.

After gradual uphill reaching upper Pangboche village near its old Gompa (monastery) for lunch, after a break here downhill to reach a bridge and then climb for few hours into beautiful forest reaching at famous Thyangboche monastery.

A beautiful spot surrounded with mountains and lovely forest includes view of Mt. Everest and of majestic Amadablam at close distance.

Day 13:            Trek to Monjo 2,860m – 06 hrs.
After a great time on high mountains descend to Imjatse River with climb for an hour to Sanasa. From here walk with few short up and downs to Namche Bazaar, after a nice stop, downhill walk to Dudh Kosi river valley to Monjo for overnight stop.


Day 14:            Trek to Lukla – 04 hrs.

Morning walk leads back to Phakding and then back to Lukla with final climb of this adventure, and then on reaching Lukla celebrate our last day in Everest area with fellow trekkers and staff.
Day 15:            Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
From Lukla an early morning flight to Kathmandu, at Kathmandu domestic airport our guide and staff transfer you back to your hotels with rest of the day free for individual activities.

Day 16:            In Kathmandu free day with sightseeing tour.
A reserve or spare day in Kathmandu in case of flight delay or cancellation due to bad weather which occurs sometimes, as Himalayan weather can be unpredictable if all goes well enjoy the extra day with tour around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur.

Day 17:            International departure for home ward bound.
After a memorable time and great adventure around Khumbu area and Gokyo Ri & Everest Panorama trekking, with excellent services of White Hills Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition guides, as per the flight time our staff transfers you for the final departure homeward bound.
