Get trekked! on an old and original route to Mt. Everest as explored and walked by early pioneers and mountaineers, an amazing trek with White Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition providing you an opportunity to explore lower Solu and high Khumbu area.This marvelous Everest Base Camp trek from Jiri offers outstanding views and sceneries of mountain range, exploring lower Sherpa and Rai traditional farm villages where few trekkers use this route.Almost forgotten route but still retains its old charms walking on remote quiet areas from Jiri to join the main trail of Lukla to Namche Bazaar onwards.

White Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition “Everest Base Camp trek from Jiri trekking” starting with an interesting and scenic long overland drive to Jiri known as “Switzerland of Nepal”. From here short drive onwards to Shivalaya where this marvelous trek begins.Walk follows through several small pass of Deurali-Lamjura to Junbesi a lovely Sherpa village, from here heading towards Takshindo-la pass after Ringmo village slowly this nice walk joins near Lukla after trekking past Nunthala-Kharikhola and Surkhe villages to reach high Khumbu area of Everest region.

Walk leads to famous Namche Bazaar with rest day for acclimatization and short excursion, our adventure continues leading into enchanting rhododendron-pines and fir forest with views of Mt. Everest-Amadablam-Tharmarsku-Kwangde and many other close peaks.

Day 16:            Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m trek to Pheriche 4,240m – 05 hrs.
Day 17:            Trek to Thyangboche – 05 hrs.
Day 18:            Trek to Monjo 2,860m – 06 hrs.
Day 19:            Trek to Lukla – 04 hrs.
Day 20:            Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
Day 21:            In Kathmandu free day with sightseeing tour.
Day 22:            International departure for home ward bound.

Day 01:            Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport where White Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition staff will receive and then transfer you to respective hotels around Kathmandu city. After getting refreshed from the flight our guide briefs you with information of hotel, Kathmandu and Everest Base Camp trekking from Jiri with welcome dinner in a nice Nepali restaurant.

Day 02:            Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Morning our city guide will take you for sightseeing tour at places of interest as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites, temples, monasteries, old king’s palaces after an interesting tour back to hotel, preparation for Everest base camp trekking from Jiri.

 Day 03:            Drive to Shivalaya 1,770 m via Jiri town 1,900 – 07 hrs journey.
Early morning starts with an overland drive to Shivalaya after Chairkot and Jiri towns, on reaching Jiri continue drive further east on rough dirt road to Shivalaya village for overnight stop a nice village located on a valley by the river.

 Day 04:            Trek to Bhandar (Chyangma) 2,195 m – 05 hrs.
From Shivalaya first day walk starts into farm villages with short ups and downhill and through forested area, walk climbs over a small pass of Deurali, then downhill to Bhandar or Chyangma village for overnight stop.

 Day 05:            Trek to Sete 2,575 m – 06 hrs.
Morning walk leads through farm terraces,  villages to reach at Kenja village, a nice village situated beneath hills of Lamjura and Pikey danda with views of Numbur peaks.

From Kenja, a steep climb to Sete village for overnight stop, from here onward air gets cooler.

 Day 05:      Trek to Junbesi 2,700 m via Lamjura-la 3,530 m -06 hrs.
Morning walk heads higher to Lamjura-la pass with climb through lovely rhododendron, pines and oak trees forest and through small farm, on reaching Lamjura pass near a big stupa with few lodges. After a short break long descend into forested area all the way to Toctoc, and then continue walk on a wide gradual winding trail to reach at Junbesi, a nice large Sherpa village with an interesting old monastery and high school built by Sir Edmund Hillary Trust.

 Day 06:   Trek to Nunthala (Manidingma) 2,220 m – 06 hrs.
After a pleasant overnight at Junbesi, morning walk on winding path with first glimpse of Mt. Everest and adjoining peaks of Khumbu area, walk downhill to a river, on crossing a bridge a short climb to Ringmo village for lunch.

After Ringmo, a gradual climb into forested area of pines and rhododendron trees to reach at Takshindu hill top a pass at 3,070 m.

The top decorated with Mani Stupa or chortens with views of Numbur, Kusum Kangguru, Thamersarkhu and Kantega peaks towards North.

From here a long descend to Nunthala via Takshindo village and monastery; continue downhill into forest to Nunthala village, also called Manidingma a large hill village with Rai and Sherpa communities.

 Day 07:           Trek to Bupsa Danda 2,250 m via Khair khola – 06 hrs.
From here temperature gets cooler getting closer to Khumbu / Everest area, morning walk with downhill to a bridge over Dudh Kosi River, crossing the river climb uphill to Jubing village, from here an hour uphill to Kharikhola, a large Sherpa and Magar village, after Khari-khola towards high ridge of Bupsa hill, crossing river with steep climb for an hour to Bupsa for overnight stop, located on a ridge offering grand views of rolling hills and valleys.

 Day 08:            Trek to Surkhe 2,300 m – 06 hrs.
From Bupsa climb through forested area with much bird life of pheasant and magpie, walk carries on climbing above Kharte Dande at 3,880m leading higher above Dudh Kosi River, on reaching at Puiyan village for lunch, after Puiyan walk is moderate with view of Lukla town and the airstrip, the last leg of the walk descend to Surkhe village for overnight stop, Surkhe located just an hour below Lukla.

 Day 09:            Trek to Phakding 2,650m – 06 hrs.
From Surkhe reaching around Khumbu area, on a wide trail to reach Choplung village, where trail from Lukla and Jiri meets. From here onward on popular route to Everest base camp, walk follows through many small villages and farm lands with great scenery and then reaching at Phakding for overnight stop this village located by the Dudh Kosi (river)

 Day 10:            Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 05 hrs.

After overnight at Phakding, morning trek leads over Dudh Kosi River and then past interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo to reach at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate.

From here walk on riverbanks for few hours, on crossing last bridge with climb to famous Namche Bazaar where you can explore this small town with facilities of nice restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks.

Day 11:            Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
A right place for rest and acclimatization day before trek to higher country, here take a short hike to Everest View Hotel or walk to Namche view point above at Sagarmatha National Park museum for super views of Everest, Amadablam and adjoining peaks, and visit of museum.

 Day 12:            Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m – 05hrs.

From Namche walk leads on scenic path with downhill to Phunge-Tenga for lunch, then climb into rhododendron and pine forest with views of peaks. On reaching Thyangboche visit into monastery with panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamasarku, Kwande and majestic Amadablam.

 Day 13:            Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m – 05hrs.

Morning walk leads downhill for an hour and then cross over Imjatse River, after the bridge entering open exposed area where tree lines disappear for short juniper and rhododendron bushes. Trek uphill to Pangboche village at 3,900 meters.

Pangboche last permanent village to Dingboche and beyond, from here a short climb to Somara for lunch and continue with climb to Dingboche village for overnight stop, located in beautiful Imjatse valley with panorama of mountains.

Day 14:            Trek to Lobuche 4,930 m – 05 hrs.

After rest at Dingboche morning walk continues with steep climb for an hour with excellent views of the valley and mountains, and slowly walking on gentle path leading at Thugla for lunch, where Khumbu glacier melts turning into a torrential river.

Here trail from Pheriche joins, after rest and lunch a steep climb for an hour to Thugla ridge top, where you can see many stone memorials of unfortunate climbers who died climbing Mt. Everest, Lhotse and other high mountains.

From here an hour of nice pleasant walk to Lobuche for overnight stop.

 Day 15:            Trek to Gorak Shep 5,170 m and Everest Base Camp 5,364 m and return to Gorakshep – 06 hrs.

Today our final adventure leads to Everest Base Camp, starting with moderate walk for few hour and then climb over glacier and moraine to Gorakshep located at the bottom of Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar hill and view point.

From here walk to Everest Base Camp following the path close to Khumbu glacier all the way to base camp. On reaching base camp marvel the views of Kuhmbu Ice Fall and glaciers. After enjoying views of ice falls and mountains, completing our aim and dreams, walk back to Goarkshep for overnight stop.

Day 16:            Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m trek to Pheriche 4,240m – 05 hrs.
Morning climb on top to Kalapathar at 5,545 meters, highest point of this trip with panorama of mountains and views of Mt. Everest at close distance. After a great time descend back to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue trek to Thugla with downhill to Pheriche for overnight stop.

 Day 17:            Trek to Thyangboche – 05 hrs.

Return journey an easy walk dropping heights every few hours with downhill with few short ups to Pangboche and then after the bridge two hours climb to Thyangboche for overnight stop.
Day 18:            Trek to Monjo 2,860m – 06 hrs.
After a great time on high mountains descend to Imjatse River with climb for an hour to Sanasa. From here walk with few short up and downs to Namche Bazaar, after a nice stop, downhill walk to Dudh Kosi river valley to Monjo for overnight stop.

Day 19:            Trek to Lukla – 04 hrs.

Morning walk leads back to Phakding and then back to Lukla with final climb of this adventure, and then on reaching Lukla celebrate our last day in Everest area with fellow trekkers and staff.
Day 20:            Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
From Lukla an early morning flight to Kathmandu, at Kathmandu domestic airport our guide and staff transfer you back to your hotels with rest of the day free for individual activities.

Day 21:            In Kathmandu free day with sightseeing tour.
A reserve or spare day in Kathmandu in case of flight delay or cancellation due to bad weather which occurs sometimes, as Himalayan weather can be unpredictable if all goes well enjoy the extra day with tour around Kathmandu-Patan and Bhaktapur.

Day 22:            International departure for home ward bound.
After a memorable time and wonderful adventure around Khumbu area and Everest Base Camp trekking from Jiri, with great services of White Hills Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition guides, as per the flight time our staff transfers you for the final departure homeward bound.
