A marvelous adventure to Annapurna & Khayar Lake trekking, away from main busy route for few days in perfect wilderness and tranquility, in the shade of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. Annapurna & Khayer Lake Trekking offers views of world’s 7th highest Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m / 26,795 ft), 10th highest Annapurna (8,091m / 26,545 ft) with Vara Shikar or Annapurna Fang, where few trekkers have ventured this beautiful area around sacred glacial lake of Khair or Vara Pokhari,
Starting this adventure from picturesque Pokhara valley within shade of high Annapurna Himalaya and pristine Phewa Lake, a short drive leads away from Pokhara and then walking on old Trans Himalayan Caravan route of Nepal / Tibet through Ghorepani to Upper Mustang. Walk leads past nice Gurung villages of Bhirethati-Tirkhedhunga-Ulleri to reach Ghorepani surrounded with rhododendron forest, a magic place with great views of sunrise from the hill top of Pun Hill over arrays of mountains.
From here our walk leads away from main trekking route heading north to complete isolation of forest and mountains. On reaching Kopra ridge with rest day for hike to hidden Khayer Lake fed from the glacier of Annapurna Mountains. After a lovely time heading back to Pokhara on an alternative route through Tadapani and Gandruk villages to reach at Pokhara after an amazing adventure to Annapurna & Khayar Lake Trekking with outmost services of White Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu sightseeing and trip preparations.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 950 m a 06 hrs journey
Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,460 m
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani 2,840m – 05 hrs
Day 06: Morning hike up to Poon Hill 3,210m and walk to Swata village 2,200m – 05 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Kopra Danda 4,020m – 06 hrs .
Day 08: Trek to Khayer Lake 4,620m – 05 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Chistibung 3,100m – 04 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Dobato 3,460m – 05 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to Ghandruk1,950 m – 04 hrs.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching at Kathmandu international airport where White Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition staff will receive and then transfer you to respective hotels around Kathmandu city. After getting refreshed from the flight our guide briefs you with information of hotel, Kathmandu and Annapurna & Khayar lake trekking.
Day 02: Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Morning our city guide will take you for sightseeing tour at places of interest as Kathmandu valley full of world heritage sites, temples, monasteries, old king’s palaces after an interesting tour back to hotel, preparation for Annapurna & Khayar Lake trekking.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 860m (220 k.m) -06 hrs.
Starting our wonderful journey to Khayar Lake trekking with a drive on Nepal’s main and interesting highway to reach at Pokhara, drive leads through many farm villages and towns with views of snowcapped peaks. Finally drive ends at Pokhara near beautiful Phewa Lake where most of the nice hotels are located.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul 1,100m and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,460m – 04 hrs.
After a stop in Pokhara, morning two hours’ drive from Pokhara through mid-hills towns and villages with views of Annapurna mountain range including Mt. Machhapuchare “ The Fish Tail,” after interesting drive reaching at Nayapul (new bridge).
From here our trek starts with through nice village of Bhirethati encountering trekkers, mule and donkey trains, our route leads on ancient Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route, walking through farm lands and villages, to reaching at Hille and Tirkhedhunga village for first night stop in a nice lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani 2,840 m – 05 hours.
Morning walk leads on steep path for near two hours on stone steps all the way to Ulleri village with views of Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchare, after climb walk gets better on winding path into cool forest path, walking in alpine forest of rhododendron trees slowly walk reaches with a short climb to reach Ghorepani village with views of Mt. Dhaulagiri range of peaks, Ghorepani located on high spot t of old Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route which stretches all the way to Upper Mustang unto Tibet the people of this area are of Pun Magar tribe.
This village offers hike to Pun Hill offering super views of world highest mountains and striking sunrise and sunset.
Day 06: Morning hike to Poon-Hill and trek to Sauta 2,200m – 05 hrs.
Early morning hike up to Poon-Hill at 3,210m this wonderful hill offers sunrise views over Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu to Annapurna and as far to Ganesh Himal, on enjoying panorama of mountains and sunrise views, walk continues from Ghorepani to Sauta village away from main trekking trail in complete isolation for overnight stop.
Day 07: Trek to Khair or Kopra Ridge 4,020 m – 06 hrs.
From here gaining altitude leaving tree lines behind after few hours of scenic walk reaching at overnight stop at Khair or Kopra ridge, a scenic spot with scenery of landscapes along with stunning views of Mt. Dhaulagiri massive range and Vara Shikar (Annapurna Fang), Annapurna South which towers directly from this wonderful spot.
Day 08: Trek to Khayer Lake Base camp 4,620m – 05 hrs.
Morning hike to holy lake at Khayer Lake located at 4,620 m. which is long walk, but worth the views, the site of religious festival occasion held annually around the month of August and September. Villagers from the surrounding area assemble here to offer prayers to Lord Shiva and bathe in the icy waters, offers sacrifices of sheep and goats.
Day 09: Trek to Chistibung 3,100 m -05 hrs.
Starting with a slow gradual morning walk on off beaten trail passing farm fields and scattered Sheppard’s huts, trekking downhill through enchanting rhododendron and bamboo forest, walking small stream to summer pastures at Chistebung for overnight stop, a small place with few small huts serving as tea-houses.
Day 10: Trek to Dobato 3,420 m – 05 hrs.
After a great time around Khair hill ridge and holy lake, morning walk with long descend through grazing lands in the middle of rhododendron forest to our overnight stop at Dobato, a summer pasture with views of Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchare / Fish Tail peak at 6,993 meters.
Day 11: Trek to Gandruk 1,950 m – 05 hrs.
With great views of mountains, morning walk continues downhill into forest of rhododendron, oak and magnolia, then reaching the main trekking route at Gandruk and Ghorepani trail at Tadapani, after a short stop, downhill to Gandruk for overnight in the comfort of nice and cozy lodge, with time to visit this large Gurung village of Annapurna region.
Day 12: Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara – 06 hrs.
After Gandruk village, morning walk downhill for an hour to Modi River our last day trek leads to a long descend reaching at Bhirethati and Nayapul villages on the road head to Pokhara. From here few hours drive leads back at Pokhara after a wonderful time up in high mountains.
Day 13: Drive / Fly back to Kathmandu.
After a marvelous time on high mountains and hills of Annapurna and Mardi Himal, morning depart Pokhara after breakfast with overland drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 14: International departure for home ward bound.
After a memorable time and great adventure around Annapurna & Khyar Lake trekking with excellent services of White Hills Hill Adventure Treks & Expedition guides, as per the flight time our staff transfers you for the final departure homeward bound.
